I’m a 23-year-old Chinese gentleman with  sense of responsibility, humor and love. 

I majored in Finnish language and culture in Beijing Foreign Studies University(BFSU) in the past four years and received my Bachelor of Arts degree in the summer of 2010. My connection to Finland has been enhanced all the time. I’ve been to Finland twice during which I could touch and feel the country myself. I love this country - always have, always will.

During my study in the University of Tampere(Finland) in 2008 I made friends with a lot of international students of different cultural backgrounds. I really enjoyed talking with them, getting to know what do they think of China, of their own countries and of the whole world. I get along well with different people as I recognize the importance of respect for different cultures. I’ve travelled to Germany, Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic. I appreciate the common value that European countries share with each other despite such a diverse background.

I’ll continue my study in BFSU for MTCSOL(Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages). In the coming years I aim to be an messenger of Chinese culture，let the world know more about a real China and also the other way round. I’m quite interested in and gifted at language studies since I intend communicating with people coming from different cultures as well as speaking different languages. I’m skilled in English and Finnish and now trying to pick up some German.

Compared to many young people of my age I’m highly grateful for all the life experience I’ve boasted. In 2008 I realized my dream to be a volunteer for Beijing Olympic Games. In 2009 I did my internship in acclaimed China Daily and NetEase. And now in 2010 I’m working here in Kirnu, Finland Pavilion at Shanghai Expo. I really enjoy being part of a team. I like it when the team pulls together to achieve something.

Enthusiasm about life is important for me, which might explain why I have so many hobbies. I’m a sporty boy. I love swimming and I’m in the swimming team of my university. In addition to swimming I play badminton, table tennis and tennis. I also enjoy watching figureskating, gymnastics and diving. I listen to nearly all types of music. Sometimes I play the flute myself, I’m quite a beginner though. More hobbies are coming as it seems delightful for me to develop new interests.
