EXPO 2010 – let your idea be the core of Finnish Participation Theme
Article in the Finnbiz magazine
The construction work at the future EXPO site is well on schedule. However, according to our discussions with the authorities and management, there remain plenty of opportunities to offer goods and services for EXPO. A wide variety of infrastructure work remains to be done. Products and services, e.g., for safety and security, ticketing, queue management and visitor guidance, health care, internal transportation, GPS services, and many others are under consideration, or else the procurement process is entering into the bidding phase. Our preparation teams both in Finland and in Shanghai are more than pleased to help open the doors to EXPO if needed. We have found that behind these doors there are especially long lines of foreign suppliers bringing extraordinarily sophisticated technologies to EXPO. That is why EXPO is so interesting: it will be the showcase for smart future solutions for the masses. Time is running short for exhibitors.Finland shares the topical values of EXPO, and this is an important reason for its decision to participate in the event. One can pose the following questions: What will be Finland’s vision for the future? How can Finland differentiate itself from its competitors at EXPO? What will be the message of Finland as a nation among nations in the year 2010 and beyond?
Right now the Finnish preparation team is systematically collecting ideas for the Finnish theme. Proposals from the Finnish business community would be highly appreciated. Therefore we ask you to offer your idea or suggestion for the Finnish theme so that it could become the core of the Finnish participation concept. You should also back your proposal with good arguments. The easiest way to do this is to email the undersigned.
When preparing your suggestion, please remember that it should relate logically to EXPO’s main theme. It must be clearly future-oriented and preferably offer as wide a platform as possible for Finnish enterprises to work around the Finnish participation concept and benefit from the event.
I am looking forward to receiving your proposals and ideas.
