I’m a 27-year-old student of Genetics from the University of Helsinki. I was born in Shanghai, as a 10-year-old I moved to Finland and eventually grew up in Helsinki. After the Expo I will go back to Helsinki to finish my Master degree. I am due to graduate in the summer of 2011. In the near future I’m willing to find a job from Finnish bio industrial field related to promote Finnish high tech laboratory equipment and methods to the ever-growing Chinese market.

Position:     Pavilion guide, Team leader in September-October
Description:     Main duties include explaining the content and message of the exhibition of the Finnish pavilion in World Expo 2010 Shanghai, China to pavilion guests, as a representative of Finland, as well as receiving and guiding VIP groups and delegations and media representatives in the pavilion. Other duties include ensuring smooth and safe people flow in and outside of the pavilion. Working languages are Chinese, English and Finnish.

Description: Mine tasks included taking care of the laboratory animals, i.e. mice and rats, and the maintenance of the equipment.

Description: In the animal disease research unit I took bacterial samples from the sick animal tissue, cultured the sample, made diagnosis using biochemical and serological tests, and put the information to the database.
