I've been living in China since 2004 and have acquired solid experience of Chinese language and local culture. I’ve lived in Sichuan for over 5 years studying and working, so southwestern China and especially the city of Chengdu is like a second home for me. My educational background is in information technology before rediscovering myself in China, thus switching to Chinese language and culture studies. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Sichuan University in 2009 after four years of studies. For my thesis I interviewed Finnish companies about their investing experiences in Chengdu. I am currently representing Finland at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. My duties as a pavilion guide involve welcoming our guests, ensuring the smooth operation of the exhibition, receiving VIP-guests and organizing multi-lingual tours. Our pavilion has about 30-thousand guests daily and we strive for that everyone receives the best impression of Finland. I was also elected as the team-leader for the last quarter. Additionally, I've had the honor to be the voice of Finland in several media events and interviews, including the live broadcast show of Shanghai Dragon TV station on Finland Pavilion Day in May. I'm currently exploring future career paths after the World Expo in Shanghai. In the near future I see myself as an important link in between Finland and China. As our countries near each other in our cultural and economical exchanges, I want to be one of those persons that make these bridges happen.
